Great dessert bakeries that are open MONDAYS in Santa Monica / Venice / West LA

Hi all,

I need to buy some amazing take-out desserts for tonight, and I'm discovering that a lot of bakeries on the Westside are closed today (Monday). I was hoping to go to Jin Patisserie in Venice but they are closed.

Any open dessert places that are similar in Santa Monica / Venice / West LA / Westwood?

Again too late, but Elysee in Westwood is fabulous.

You probably want to call Jean-Louis at Caprice Pastries on Pico (across the street from Trader Joe's). I believe he is still open on Mondays. The bulk of his business is catering and he does alot of things well. He can either fill an order for you if you call or come by, or he usually has alot of small pastries available as well.

3 Square bakery is open but they're not known so much for their desserts. They usually will have about a half dozen items that could pass as desserts, like chocolate, raspberry, and lemon tarts, double chocolate walnut cookies, and their rasberry sandwich. However, if you want a pretty mean meal, their cafe can cover that for you...

It's too late for tonight but for future reference consider Susiecakes in Brentwood. I took her red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting to a company dinner a week ago Friday and the office is still raving about it. $44 for a 9" cake but we managed to feed 12.
