Husband's 60th Thursday and he loves sushi. So any suggestions? Don't want to drive downtown as we unfortunately have to work late.

Thanks

  1. Can you go a few extra miles down Wisconsin to Sushi Ko, in Glover Park? It'd be worth the extra five minutes in the car, I promise.

    1. While no longer a local, I have always had wonderful sushi at Raku on Woodmont and just about two months ago had some really enjoyable sushi at Tako Grill on Wisconsin, including fresh wasabi with my sashimi.

I only ate there twice, but never really thought Sushi Ko was all that. Sushi Taro in Dupont Circle seemed to me, at least, to be a superior sushi experience.

      1. Tako Grill on Wisconsin Avenue suits the bill. Good sushi and excellent small-plate grilled items. Good Sake list too.

I will second the Tako Grill recommendation. Very good stuff.

        2. Rockville Sushi in the Ritchie Center on the Pike is very nice. It is run by Koreans and has Korean signs; they may be changing the name. But it's still a fine sushi bar and we were just there on Friday.

          1. Niwano Hana, on 355 in Rockville, is my favorite in MoCo.
