Any suggestions for great Moroccan food in Paris?

  1. L'Atlas in the 5th on Bvd. St. Germain is terrific. Here's my writeup on it from last year:

    1. La table de Fès in Montparnasse. Oum el banine and Al Mounia in the 16th.

I second La Table de Fès, 5, Rue Sainte-Beuve, 6th arr., M°: Vavin.
        Diner only!

And of course Wally le saharien, exceptional if atypical

      2. I suggest Royal Maroc, boulevard Port Royal. The mechoui couscous is divine.

        1. I don't know if it's Moroccan or not, but for north african food, I love Le Souk in the 11th, and also Au Petit Kahua right nearby. Also, there's another Au Petit Kahua in the 5th (or perhaps 13th, it's near Gobelins).

L'Atlas is great if you want fancy food, but you can get great, informal couscous tagines etc. in Paris too.

          1. Don't forget Chez Omar, near the outskirts of the Marais, for fantastic couscous and ambiance.

            1. We just finished dinner at Les Oudayas, 34 boulevard St Germain, in the 5th. My family has an apartment in the 5th and we are visiting. The restaurant is only a year old. They speak english, although the menu is only in french (a good sign). The were several chic French-Moroccan families having dinner (another good sign). We had the couscous royal which was excellent, and we also had Moroccan wine with the meal.

              1. try this one it's a little bit expensive but excellent ! : La Mansouria 11 r Faidherbe 75011 PARIS

The owner is a woman Fatema Hal, she is one of the best cooker in France ..Une cuisine toute en délicatesse...

I purchased one of her cookbooks when I lived in Morocco -- based on that alone, I'm sure this restaurant is outstanding!
