Was just wondering when this is going to happen? Thanks, Richie

I bleieve that the shopping center that it is suppose to go into has not even been approved by the town or state yet. I would say it is at least a couple of years. Jay

That I don't know; however, the Wild Oats in Orange is near completion - looking at the site I would guess < 1 month?

Glad to hear about Wild Oats, which I'd take over a Whole Foods anytime (increasingly just a place for really pricey take-out prepared foods). But just read that the government won't stand in the way of a Whole Foods -- Wild Oats merger. Wonder what that will mean.

On the southbound side of the Post Road, but I'm pretty sure it's in Milford (though right near the border). The new plaza is being built right where a big furniture store used to be (I think Wayside, but I can't remember for sure). From the company lines being given by Whole Foods and Wild Oats, it looks like it's only a matter of time until it's a Whole Foods. Below is a link to the developer's website with additional information.

The site plan identifies the market to be a Wild Oats. Wild Oats is being bought out by Whole Foods, so who knows what it will be. Whole Foods generally now likes to have larger stores than 30,000 square feet, but I doubt they would give up a location like that. Jay

Do you mean Fairfield town or county? I hadn't heard about one opening in the town, but I know they are working on at least 2 new ones in the county; Stamford, and Darien.

Darien isn't approved yet, probably will be. Stmaford, I beleive is approved, but its part of a major project at the Lord & Talyor location. I think both are likely soetime around 2009.

Yes, Whole foods has been identified as the tenant of the Kings Crossing Shopping Center planned for the old Handy & Harman property at the corner of King's Highway East and Grasmere Avenue. It will be located just south of the Home Depot. The town has not approved the center yet but it is touted in First Selectman Ken Flatto's web site. It will probably be a couple of years before this store opens, but it appears to be coming. Jay
