Idea for wedding

A friend of mine went to a wedding recently, and a few weeks in advance, the maid of honor wrote to all the guests, asking them to send her a recipe they would like share. She then compiled and formatted all the recipes, had them bound and presented it to the bride and groom.

All the guests also got a copy as a wedding favor. Just thought it was a really nice idea and wanted to share it.

That is a great idea. I've also seen a large group of friends go together and give gift certificates for to 10-15 different restaurants. They were bound together in a book that was titled "Feed Your Love."

This is a super idea and with two daughters, I am going to keep this one in mind. Thanks for sharing.

I went to a shower once where the guests were asked to bring two favorite recipes. (One of your favorites that you know she likes - and one you think she would like....maybe.) And I was invited to a shower where the premise was that you would bring your favorite recipe and a kitchen implement or ingredient that would be needed. (I offered a recipe for a mango salsa, with a chef's knife for chopping all the ingredients.)

But this is a lovely idea.....thanks.

I've been to a bridal shower with the same premise. The hosts supplied each guest with a recipe card to write their recipe on...and your gift was supposed to go along with it. I thought it was very cute, but I also like this wedding idea!
