I am the owner of Calumet Fisheries, Inc. We smoke on site Sable (Black Cod) but you must come into the store and make a deposit for it since we do not smoke it on a regular basis because the demand is low because it is a very expensive fish. We always have a fresh variety of Smoked Chubs, Trout, Salmon, White Fish and our specialty Extra Large Smoked Shrimp. We also sell a wide variety of Fried Seafood that we batter and bread ourselves. It's sold by the pound or half pound or in dinners that include fries and coleslaw. Our Fried items include Shrimp, Fish Chips, Frog Legs, Scallops, Smelts, Oysters, Catfish, Crab Cakes and Calamari. Shrimp is by far are Number 1 seller. We have been in business for 60 years and are located right next to the 95th Street Bridge (3259 E. 95th Street). Sablefish is also known as Black Cod and can be purchased from time to time at Dirks or Fox and Obel. I would imagine that it would be available most anytime if you called in advance to reserve some.
