Favorite Queens Takeout?

What are your go-to takeout places? Any neighborhood, any style....

We hit Pio-Pio on Woodhaven and Tangra Masala from time to time, and the new Rotisserie Chicken place, Aris, on Metropolitan Ave near Forest for the $6 chicken...Bona on Fresh Pond Rd for Polish......howabout you?

Mina and Texas Ranger BBQ are regular stops for me when I want to bring dinner home for the family. Rockaway Fish House AKA RCL Enterprises is really good take out only soul food on Rockaway Blvd just east of the Van Wyck. Fiza Diner, Hillside Ave in Glen Oaks for tasty and spicy South Asian food.

I concur on Sripraphai. I frequent their takeout on a regular basis.

In the Sunnyside area I also order De Mole/El Jaro frequently.

Sripraphai - on the way home, call from a subway as soon as it emerges from the tunnel - your order is waiting for you by the time you get off at Woodside and walk few blocks. It helps when you know numbers of your favorite dishes.

That's a good one. I don't know why I've never done that....especially on days when the wife and I take the 59th St Bridge.....

Besides the obvious "no waiting for a table" advantage, I like taking out Sri for the fact that it gives me a chance to concentrate on one favorite dish (dining in you're more likely to order multiple dishes and share).

I have to admit, while some takeout gets overcooked, sometimes the food is better when it sit there a bit in it's container...Sri's drunken noodles for takeout somehow always taste richer and spicier and better when I get it to go.

Interesting...I may have the wife make a detour on the way home.....

Any other spots that you frequent for take out?

King Chef in Whitestone for straight-up Chinese. Try the honey walnut shrimp, and the vegetable egg rolls, (which are not wimpy skinny spring-roll looking things.) The chow fun is excellent as well.
