Resturant needed for Anniversary Dinner.
I am in need of a great recommendation for an Anniversary Dinner. We are both under 25 so are looking to have a great time with each other but not spend a lot. We are not looking to spend more then $50 pp. Sushi, Italian, or American food. He is somewhat of a picky eater. The place can be indoors or out, pref more on the romantic side. Please give me some great places for us to enjoy a great dinner together anywhere in Manhattan.

I know they both get mixed reviews, but I had good experiences at Il Buco and Barbone. Particularly Il Buco if you request to be seated in the back room which is so quiet and romantic and gives you a nice view into the kitchen. I took my boyfriend there for his 25th birthday (he's a fairly tough critic of restaurants) and he absolutely LOVED it.

Malatesta and Piadina in the village area are delicious, affordable Italian. Not sure if they take reservations, though... pretty sure Piadina does only for groups 4+. Malatesta is great in the summer with all the open windows. Piadina is more dark and cozy. From what I've tried, both have excellent salads, pasta and desserts.

While it isn't one of the cuisine choices above, Pylos (Greek) is very romantic and has wonderful food.

One of my Italian favorites is Trattorio Dopo Teatro: http://www.dopoteatro.com/home.html
