Cumberland, Maryland [Moved from Washington DC/Baltimore Area board]

We will be spending a couple of days in Cumberland, Maryland and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good restaurant.

Queen City Creamery - 108 Harrison Street

This is an old-fashioned real frozen custard place. Good custard, and the interior is lovely, too. It's not a bad place for breakfast, either.

I second Queen City Creamery. Excellent milkshakes!

There's a place that used to be called Tuckers. It's been renamed, it's an Italian place with really good wood fired pizza. I know someone on this board knows the new name.

I don't know the new name, but it is right off of the exit for 220 towards Bedford. It used to be the site of Mason's Barn and is still quite barnish in shape. They have a little motel there. Don't know if it is still there that place is always changing. They used to have a good steakhouse there too, but I don't know if it is still there or not.

Go to Diatri's for a good sub, there bread and italian dressing are homemade and they have great huge subs. I think downtown Frostburg may have some better eats. Guiseppe's is Italian and pretty good. There are other place I have heard of in Frostburg, but have not been to. A little ways away is the Hen House. I haven't been in forever, but we used to go for crabs. That's all I can think of I am from Garrett County so I don't eat too much in Cumberland.
