Sound promising, LeahBaila. Thanks! What's the est. price range per drink and what are the tastiest drinks to get?

They don't come too cheap at The Pen Top, but the view is worth it. The Royalton is more reasonable. I couldn't quote prices, but either place is a great choice.

I absolutely agree with the Royalton..Really fun and different place to get a drink..Prices are typical Manhattan prices....They make a great martini...

    2. Royalton does sound like a great choice--but it looks like it's closed for renovations, right now. I'll keep it on my short list for when it reopens.

Hey Cimui! The drinks at the PenTop were more expensive than the drinks I had at the Manderin Oriental Lobby Lounge if that's any indicatio. And the view was not as nice.

          *hug* perfect indication, roze--thank you!!

      2. Try the Ritz Carlton on Central Park South. It is one of the most civilized and beautiful rooms in NYC.
        Great wines and drinks.

        1. The Bars at the Hudson Hotel on West 58th are great. You can drink outside on the terrace, in the Library Bar (it's quiet and has a pool table) or in the larger bar (noiser.)

          1. Thank you all so much. These sound like great suggestions. I'll be hitting up the Library Bar after dinner tomorrow night and look forward to working my way through the list.

Hopefully I can reciprocate a bit, too. My favorites in the area are Bar Centrale, The Modern Bar, and the Russian Vodka Room. I love the slightly gritty feel of the RVR and the heat of the horseradish infused vodka. Civilized places are a dime a dozen in the area (or maybe a few thousand dimes, more accurately ;). But sometimes gritty places with good drinks are just what hit the spot after a long week!

Add the Rose Bar in the Time Warner Center to your list, great drinks and view!
I love RVR, but can't think of anything else similar in the area, would love suggestions.
