Will be visiting your city for Labor Day and the wife and I would love to go to a great place for raw oysters, with all the accoutrements, any suggestions, looking so forward to all the food that Seattle has to offer.

Thanks for the help.

If you are from out of town, you might not have seen the local news coverage about the FDA warning regarding eating raw oysters from certain areas in the Northwest as a result of vibriosis, a bacterial infection:

Elliotts Oyster House on the waterfront is my personal favorite. Get the sampler which is served atop a pile of shaved ice. And while you're there, all the other food is excellent too.

And maybe you can do "Oyster Happy Hour," at which oysters ar fifty cents(!) each starting at 3:00. They go up 20 cents every half-hour after, and become more typical by 6:00. Technically, you are at the mercy of the house in selection here, but I have had great and very flexible treatment.
