Firehouse Greek - Reseda

trojans Aug 14, 2007 09:13 PM

Ok, after reading the Gyro thread I had to head out to the Firehouse Greek restaurant today to try their Gyro. They shave the spit and then crisp it on the griddle for a while to make it semi crunchy. Then when you get it you bite into a garlicky, garlicky delicious tsatsiki sauce that makes the whole sandwich scream hallelujah. I ate a sandwich and went to church today, all on my lunch hour.

Is this the same Firehouse that has the really good burgers?

They have burgers. But I did not try. Probably will never order anything but their Gyro's. UHHM Gyro's.

PS Not the fireside in SM but in the SFV

Growing up, we used to go to a Firehouse in Reseda that was across the street from a park...I loved their burgers.
So, is there a park across the street?
If it's the same place, it's been there forever.
May have to go on a road trip.

That's the one. Across from the park on reseda and victory. Might have to try the burger now.

I'm a huge fan of their gyros (their sandwich, and their salad) --but I also have to say they make a really delish Lamb Souvlaki (kabob). I always feel torn between the two when I'm there. Enjoy!

It's still there, it's still amazing.

The ducks are still in the park. They miss you!

OMG, loved that place. My 1st girlfriend and I went there in the 80's. Nice to know it is still there. Now, I have a gyro craving....
