SEA: Bandits Bar - Tamales?

I am in search of good (or even great) tamales in Seattle that I can order in bulk for a party. I found numerous references to Bandits Bar (on Denny Way) online and have a couple of questions:

1) Anyone been there and can report on the tamales?

2) Anyone know whether they would do a big order (of course I can make a call if no one knows anything here)?

3) Any other suggestions for tamales? I will need some meaty and some vegetarian tamales. I've read on this board about Mexican Grocery in Pike Place, but it seems all the references mention only meat-filled tamales. Anyone know whether they have other options (and whether they are any good)?

Check if the taco truck on 45th by Winchell's will do a special order. I remember seeing a sign to that effect a few months ago. Their tacos were good, so tamales might be worth trying.

Or head to South Park. Maybe Muy Macho?

I found their tamales not to be that great.
A little too oily, meat wasn't tender, juicy.

I now stick to their tacos and tortas.

(I have yet to try their quesadilla though. Maybe tonight)

I wouldn't particularly recommend the ones at the Mexican grocery. They make some great (other) stuff, but they don't make their own tamales, and they are pretty average.

Oh, and the Market's Mexican Grocery has expanded their offering, though I do not know if hey make the new ones, either.

There is a place in Yakima where all the guy does is make tamales and they are SUPERB. Whenever I go home to visit my folks I load up on them and bring them home to freeze. I would call him and see if he could ship (he can do a big order, just not sure on the shipping.

The store is Union Gap technically and called "Los Hernandez tamales" or maybe just "Los Hernandez." He's been written up in Sunset and is a super nice guy.
