Good Takeout Sushi near Cedars Sinai

Amuse Bouches Aug 14, 2007 01:59 PM

OK, hounds, after nine months of playing host to a parasite (um, read, bundle of joy to be), and dutifully avoiding sushi (though I caved on unpasteurized parmiggiano reggiano, and smoked salmon and a very occasional, VERY small glass of wine), we are anticipating an eviction in the not-too-distant future, and my darling husband has promised me a large takeout platter of good sushi, delivered to the hospital. Hopefully this will include mackerel, yellowtail, uni and toro. No fancy rolls necessary. Where can he get such a thing? Will Izakaya by Katsu-ya prepare a takeout plate?

Hirozen on Beverly is close and I assume they would do something like that since they do catering...Congrats!

We live in the area and often get sushi delivered from Asakuma/Rice, which is very close to the hospital (on La Cienega). It's decent sushi, and they do a great job of packaging for eating at home (or elsewhere). (This place used to be just "Rice" but recently(ish) merged with Asakuma.)

      Congrats on the baby!

EDIT: Okay, I tried to add that location thing, but it didn't save. The address seems to be 848 N La Cienega Blvd.
