Family Style Italian in White Plains [Moved from Manhattan board]

slc521 Aug 14, 2007 12:13 PM

Hey all... A few years ago a friend took other friends and myself to a family style restaurant in White Plains that had an excellent Gorgonzola Salad. I remember him mentioning that this restaurant had two locations, but I can't remember the name at all... Anybody have any idea?

You might mean Eclisse, which has since closed? The only other family style restaurant in the area that I know of is Spiga on Central Ave.

Thanks.... Eclisse sounds rings a bell... Did both locations close?

You're welcome. Hmmm, the only one I knew about was in Rye Ridge.

Laguna is Eclisse's "sister" restaurant in White Plains.

Gorgonzola salad makes me think of Manero's in Greenwich, long gone, but you can get the dressing online - http://www.manerosgorgonzola.com/

elleinthecity, I've read here that Manero's is back as a butcher in Greenwich with their burgers, salad, and onions.

They should just recognize that Westchester is in dire need of a steak house that doesn't charge for a potato and come back as a restaurant.
