We have one evening to spend in Hartford and would like to have some good eats. Any suggestions?

Can you narrow down your price range and type of food preferred... and age of group...

For one choice, I like Hot Tomato's.

Feng, on Asylum ST. downtown, is awesome Asian fusion. Don't miss the
        lemongrass lobster latte!

If you enjoy southern/cajun food, I'd suggest Black-Eyed Sally's BBQ and Blues on Asylum Street. Courteous servers, live music most nights, amazing blackened catfish

I second Black-eyed Sally's, especially if a band is playing. Get a reserved table. I really like the gumbo.

For Japanese, Koji Yakitori on Asylum St. is good -- good sushi and a good selection of Sakes too.
