Thanks for Tama Sushi rec!
Several of you recently responded to my post looking for a good sushi place for a pre-Bowl Sunday meal, and I'd like to thank you for recommending Tama Sushi, because we made it there yesterday (Monday) instead and were extremely happy with the results. It worked out well, too, because they had a sign posted saying they're temporarily closed on Sundays! We made it just in time for lunch, and it was a wonderful meal.

very glad you had a great meal at TAMA. katsu-san is a veteran; we've been eating with him for over 20 years. he has great integrity.
we had a pre-wedding dinner for about 20 there last week; took the entire back table area. he blew me away (hard to do after 20 years). beautiful presentation of sashimi on blocks of ice, mounds of freshly grated japanese wasabi with the whole root and japanese graters, large crisp and perfectly fried platters of lobster, shrimp, crab, and veggie tempura, and than large platters of sushi. when he shyly emerged from the kitchen to deliver a platter, he was met with applause. it was amazing. he's still wowing us after all these years!
