Rack of Lamb from Trader Joe's

Has anyone tried these? I always see some in the freezer aisle (frozen) as well as in the produce aisle (not frozen) but never purchased them. Their prices seem pretty fair.

  1. I happen to like the rack of lamb at Trader Joe's - the one in the meat section, not the frozen ones. I think the frozen lamb is already seasoned and I prefer to season the lamb the way I like it - salt, garlic, and pepper. There is plenty of good meat on the rack and the edges get nice and crispy in the oven.

You can't beat the price of the rack of lamb at Trader Joe's. It's good enough (to me) that I don't ever order rack of lamb in restaurants anymore because I know I can buy it for half the price and have twice as much food.

    1. My mother ALWAYS buys the one from the meat section. (the one that retails for like $14 a pound or something.) and according to her its the most fabulous lamb you can get at the price. I, personally have never tried it, because I have somewhat of an aversion to red meats (or even most poultry), but she seems to love it and says the seasoning is "spot-on". So yeah considering I know her tasts well enough I would recommend it.

      1. I've done the rack of lamb in the oven (non frozen variety) and then topped it with Trader Joe's Pomegranate Glaze. It turned out very well- I'd recommend going for it.
