Cheapest Decent Bites in Berkeley?

What's the cheapest place in Berkeley to get a decent meal around movie time?

Thanks in advance.

I'd also add Bongo Burger for a full falafel at $3.50. Not as good as Holy Land's falafel, but good and a generous serving for the price. The Persian Burger (lamb patty--ask for LOTS of sumac) is a big $4.95 and quite large. The eggplant sandwich is tasty too, but getting a bit pricy at $5.95. This is far from fine dining. The ambience is just a step up from Top Dog (there are places to sit and there's no Libertarian propaganda on the walls), but the food is tasty and cheap. The location at 2154 Center is just a short walk from the downtown theatres.

That's my favorite spot for cheap eats as well. Great pizza by the slice, and microbrew pints for $4.00.

Slurp on Telegraph. Everything is like 5 or 6 bucks. Huge portion of housemade noodles. It's a nice long walk to the movies though.

Since you say "movie" you mean downtown?

              Udupi Palace
              Pie in the Sky
              Ryowa Ramen
              Jayakarta
