      Johnny Rebs, after they (hopefully) rebuild from the fire damage.

        Thanks for the alert, DiveFan. I hadn't heard about the Johnny Rebs fire. That's really too bad for both the employees and the customers. It's a good spot for tender ribs, very flavorful collard greens, and outstanding hush puppies, among many Southern favorites. All four of their locations are good, and a couple of the other ones are not too far away, so the LB crowd won't starve.

          There is always M & M's for soul food on Carson, same building as the bowling alley.

            Yes, several. What did you have in mind? Long Beach is a big city with restaurants that span many cultures, ambiance levels and price structures.
