You used to be able to buy oilcloth cut to length at Poppy Fabrics in Oakland, but they are closing and going out of business soon, so don't know about availability of anything.

Last I checked the entire stock was 25% off. They're not going out of business. They're looking for a new location. I think their lease was up. I know they were looking at a spot on Piedmont Avenue, but I'm not sure where/when they'll find their new home.

Poppy is closing at the end of September. It's not moving to a new location. Stock is probably somewhat depleted due to the going-out-of-business sale.

I was told about the Piedmont Ave. location when I was at Poppy in late June. It's too bad they haven't been able to find a suitable location. A real loss.

I saw a stand selling them at Friday morning's farmers market in Sonoma. Here's more about what you'll find there, http://www.chowhound.com/topics/430400
And, I also saw some for sale at the Sebastopol Berry Farm on Ross Station Road in Sebastopol.

I think the same woman from Sebastopol Berry Farm makes them and sells at Sonoma FM as well as Napa's Tuesday morning market. I always associate oilcloth with blueberries and raspberries. She has all kinds of great stuff make out of oilcloth: tablecloths of various sizes, baby bibs, wallets, bags, placemats.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them being sold at Heebee Jeebies in Petaluma. (A store that sells lots of nifty stuff, including a lot of Archie McPhee's type toys and the like). I recall a booth at the Saturday Santa Rosa Farmer's Market (Vet's Building parking lot) selling items made with that oilcloth...they might have had the tableclothes as well, or know where to purchase them.

Weird, but true, but the Five and Dime on Irving Street (between 7th and 9th Avenues) carries rolls of oilcloth in the back sometimes. Not a huge variety, I'm afraid. Call ahead, though, because it's been awhile since I've been and I'm not even sure they're open anymore!
