Need quick small plate recommendation

akofner Aug 13, 2007 11:00 AM

I'm looking for a place for an anniversary dinner tonight. I was hoping to find a place with small plates. My wife is pregnant and gets full very quickly so small plates have been working well for us. Was hoping to try Violet and Orris but both are closed on Monday. Any similar recommendations?

Close to Santa Monica is a bonus but not a necessity.

Two "small plates" restaurants. Big fan of AOC but for something a bit more casual, Minibar is worth checking out. Happy anniversary.

How about Abode? It's not technically small plates, but the portions are fairly small and your wife could make a meal out of a couple of the appetizers...

Thanks, I agree, we go there often and it's one of our favorites. Got anything else? Anything on Sawtelle?

Hmmm - website says closed Mondays -- phone confirmed it.
