I'm sure you already know about Rosamunde's hamburger Tuesdays but just thought I would add my 2 cents since I just had one today.

$5.50, 1/3 lb on a toasted onion roll, cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and grilled onions. And no mayo, YAY! Soooo good. There may be better burgers around but not at this price point.

But here's the thing: you need to be willing to wait a LOOONNNGGG time. Having passed by in the past at 12 and having seen the line snake half a block, we went at 2. No line to order but they were cooking up a storm for people waiting next door at Toronado. So the wait for the burger after ordering was something like 35 minutes. I can only imagine what the wait was like earlier.

And they ran out of burgers by 2:30 so do not assume they will have them at dinner.

This was a great burger but I think the wait and the risk they may run out has somehow ADDED to its culty appeal for a lot of people. I've seen people line up as early as 11:00 (they open at 11:30). I mean, it's a GREAT burger but to wait that long?

Hey, that's the only proper way to eat a burger, and with NO mayo!

I'd stop by there for the burger sometime when I'm nearby, but not with that wait. No way.

does anyone know if Rosamunde use natural beef for their burger?

burger joint is right down the street and uses Niman Ranch beef, and it comes with delicious steak fries. $6.95 for regular, $7.45 w/ cheese. and they also have "mini" cheeseburger and fries for $5.45, but I'm not sure how big the mini is. i had the cheeseburger recently and actually split it with my gf and was very satisfied. normally i would definitely eat my own, but just wanted to try it. it was great old school style burger with lettuce, tomato & red onion. they didn't ask how i wanted it, but it was cooked nice and medium-rare-ish.

I believe so. I think I've been told it's Niman's but I didn't really check. Heck, these days everyone uses Niman's it seems.

And Rosamunde's is soooooo much better than Burger Joint, IMHO. Now if they could only do fries...oh, well. Can't have everything. One could grab some around the corner at Metro in an emergency

Gee, I went through this when I mentioned this in a Valencia P & P post. as well. I just figured y'all knew. Yup! Fell and Gough sometime this spring, baby! Dottie's owner bought the building. They will also be doing lunch and dinner...and a juice bar. I may just have to cancel my move to the Mission and just set up a cardboard box across from Dottie's.

So I'm not messin' with you. But man! That would have been a MEAN April Fool's day trick before this was true...

Hey, I only found out a few days ago myself. As a newbie on CH, I just figured everyone else knew. How I missed the Chron's Oct. story is a mystery. When I saw this on someone's blog, I was nearly blinded with joy. Angels parted the skies and trumpets blared. There was much rejoicing in the land...

As someone said over on YELP!, I'd give them 4 stars if they would put themselves on wheels and just follow me around all day.

They just serve burgers on Tues. thus increasing its burger appeal to people, IMO.
