There's a bistro at 1424 Washington. Buzzard Billy's has decent gumbo and etouffee.

The Elite Cafe is really good! Nice atmosphere and you'll see all sorts of people in there from Baylor co-eds to cowboys!

I to would concur with Georges and the burger or CFS and definately the Big O(cold beer) is a must. THere is a Mex-Mex place that's really good for Waco called Siete Mares that specializes in Mares. It's BYOB it that helps. Waco's tough for restos. I go to Georges when I'm in town.

Not too much to recommend there. I would head to George's for the daily special, a burger or a CFS, with a "Big O" of course.
