Kansas Style BBQ in LA Area?

Looking for a great Kansas style BBQ in the LA Area? Any suggestions? Thanks.

  1. I'm not from KC, but the people who own Porky's in Inglewood and Rancho Cucamonga? made their name in the KC area before settling here. I like their brisket and pulled pork. Found the baby backs wanting.

      Check out Uncle Flip's Smoke Pit of North Hollywood and Kansas City Barbecue Company, both on Lankershim in N. Hollywood.

          Not sure of Uncle Flip's. Kansas City BBQ is about a half-dozen blocks south of the 134, west side of the street, on the corner. Big sign.

          Any ratings on this place? I drive by occasionally, wonder if it's good.

      1. I forgot the name of the place but they have two locations: Montrose and West Hollywood?? does anyone remember the name?
