Just picked peaches, now what???

chocolate chick Aug 11, 2007 05:00 PM

Went to an orchard today and picked a boat load of peaches with my kids. I want to make something sweet I can bring into work for my associates to enjoy. So, nothing needing spoons or forks please. Any recs? Thanks much!

If they're great peaches, take them as is. Just have a lot of paper towels on hand! I know that's not a creative answer, but there's nothing better than biting into a fresh, juicy peach.

Peach tartlettes instead of peach pie.

Not sure if you like fruit in your salads. One of my easy favorite recipes is to make the Naked Chef salad with mixed greens, fresh mint, lemon & EVOO vinaigrette, sliced peaches and fresh mozzarella. Yum! . . sorry just read the part about no spoons and forks.

cut them in half, grill them, drizzle with balsamic or poppy seed dressing.

Make jam out of them and give your friend a real gift.
