I agree that LC's is very good. It can be pretty crowded on the weekends, but I'm always thrilled by how friendly the people are. LC's is unique in that you can watch them roll out the dough and make the roti skins while you wait, I believe that some other places buy theirs pre-made. LC's roti's seem slightly sweet which seems a bit odd to me, but it's quite good.

Naz is a bit funky, but I've been there several times because it's close to home. They have quite a few non-roti items on the menu and a good selection of beverages.

I visit Ram's very regularly, (it's near my office.) They have a few non-roti items (doubles, aloo pie, some sweets,) but I can't say I've tried them. Very tasty and consistent roti here.

There's another Ali's (don't know if it's related to the one 2top mentioned) in Margate at 6846 W Atlantic, he makes the best veggie roti I've had, but doesn't always have the ingredients for that one. The last few times I was there, there were no beverages, so it was a to-go event.

Shalama has some good entrées in addition to roti, but their roti bread is not made fresh (I'm not sure if they're made in-house.)

It's not in the area you specified, but Hack's in Pembroke Pines (9389 Sheridan St) serves fantastic Trini fare, well worth a visit.

My favorite is the coal pot. Jamile is the owner who hand makes roti and other west indian dishes. They have shrimp wontons that i cannot get enough of. Their curry is the best I have evr had!

I've seen the Coal Pot in Hollywood (700 State Rd 7,) and I think I've seen another place with the same name on the east side of SR7 north of Sunrise (though I can't remember exactly where it is,) which one do you recommend?

this place is on 441 in hollywood just a few miles south of the hard rock. This place is an authentic west indian rum shop! Loud soca and a party all the time!
