Tonkatsu Pork Cutlets Anywhere?

I miss the fantastic tonkatsu cutlets & sauce from Japan. In Los Angeles I have only been able to find tonkatsu with curry sauce and that at Korean restaurants. Any good Japanese offerings of this in SF?

Miyatma at the intersection of College Ave and Alcatraz had some on the menu when I went last week. While I didn't order them, everything else I got from there was phenomenal, so I can assume that they are good as well.

My hubby liked the Tonkatsu there. He took a colleague who is a Japanese and claimed to be a "picky Japanese food eater" and she said that it was the best she's had in SF (very authentic). Other guests who have been to Japan said that everything was great. Highly recommend Sanmi

The tonkatsu at Hotaru on 3rd Ave. and El Camino in San Mateo is pretty authentic. Not the kind where the breading falls away from the meat. Very good.

Try Kitchen Kura on Irving between 16th and 17th (south side of the street). I ate tonkatsu there just last night. The fried tofu is also delicious there.

I've had tonkatsu at the Japanese deli - Delica RF-1, in the Ferry Building. They are not what I would describe as being fantastic, though.
