I was wondering if anyone knows of a Kosher Spa or one where kosher (glatt) food is served
in the new york area.

Thanks

MARCH has a retreat once or twice a year. They did one after pesach. I heard it was nice. they bring their own mashgiach. ( Glatt is not a problem, I think the poor guy spends all week checking the salad.) If you need an Email address, ask in a post and I will try to get it.

I don't know if they have kosher food in the hotel. I know that they have a treif restaurant in the hotel. There are a number of kosher restaurants in the area. The hotel or the restaurants may be willing to have it delivered. the name of the hotel is Ocean Place Resort and Spa. They are actually located in Long Branch, NJ. I do know that they charge $25.00 per day for a refrigerator. The hotel and facilities are lovely, though. Matza Fun Tours runs a pesach program there.

Also I think the organizations Amit or Emunah sponsor a week annually at a spa (think in the past they had it at Grand Lake Lodge in Ct) which is kosher for that week.

They no longer do it there. See lilome's post later on for other options. You can either go to march's if they do it or arrange your own.

I have never been to a spa, but I get the feeling, by checking on the internet, that a spa is not a place where one has meals, not to mention kosher ones. Maybe one of the many kosher restaurants in NY will be able to deliver food to the spa of your choice. Check out Kosher Delight at http://www.kdexpress.com/homepage.asp they seem to service Manhattan.

Ah, I see. Anyway, here in the 5 towns in Woodmere is a day spa, Capellini, that does offer kosher lunches.

I also note that Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz NY does offer kosher meals upon request.

As usual, you must inquire about kashrus.
