Las Vegas to Scottsdale

We are driving in late August from Las Vegas to Scottsdale with our children. Can anyone reccommend a decent place for lunch, somewhere near the mid-point?

Thank you

  1. eek, I don't think this is helpful, but if you speed a bit you can make it in about 4 hours and avoid having to eat at all.

Or, pack snacks. Your options are places like Cracker Barrel or McDonald's - I have even tried driving all around Laughlin/Bullhead City and there is not much.

It's not the mid-point, more like 75-85% to Scottsdale, but perhaps there is somewhere good in Wickenburg??

    Anyone else have any insight?

There is Eat @ Joe's BBQ in Wikieup, raves reviews from fellow chowhounders.....

looks as if they are closed thru 8/22

        Definitely Eat at Joe's!

Otherwise, pickings are really slim, unless you want fast food in Kingman. I haven't heard of any food places in Wickenburg. Since I eat at Joe's, I can bypass Wickenburg and make it to Scottsdale from Vegas.

Love Eat @ Joe's. I always order half a rack of ribs extra, and some garlic mojo as well. I am stuck on their one sandwich; the brisket/pork combination? It's just so perfect.

      2. If you and the kids like Chinese, check out Sizzling Wok in Wickenburg. Wonderful food and really nice people. =)

        1. Wickenburg is definately Anita's Cochina in you like mexican food. Great Salsa and very, very good stuffed green chili's.
Address: 57 N. Valentine Street. This is approx. 1 mile off Grand Ave when you hit the main intersection Vanlentine is 1 block North.

          1. Thanks, everyone. Given that the whole crew likes BBQ, Eat at Joes seems to be the choice!
