Big Island Report
Just returned from one week on the Big Island, Kona side. Stayed off of Waikoloa Beach Drive. Our location obviously influenced our choice of dining choices. While on the island, we ate at Kenichi Pacific & O's Bistro in Kailua-Kona and Merriman's Market Cafe in Waikoloa two times and at Tommy Bahamas on Mauna Lani Drive. We ate all of our meals in a large group (7 adults). The clear winner of our unanimous recommendations for diners would be Kenichi Pacific. Terrific meal and service. O's Bistro was very good as well, although we were disappointed they were out of a couple of items even though we had early 7:00 reservations. We would also recommend Merriman's Market Cafe, but would not return to Tommy Bahamas.
