I heard about the fire...haven't been around there lately though. Did she reopen? Where is she now? That was great Puerto Rican food.....

If you were wondering about the whereabouts of Chef Carmen Gonzalez after a fire destroyed her eponymous eatery in Coral Gables -Carmen the Restaurant, well… like the phoenix, she has risen from the ashes and flown north to New York City where she is taking her Puerto Rican high end cuisine to Lucy of Grammercy, the restaurant in ABC Carpet & Home owned by restaurateur Phil Suarez (where Doug Rodriguez once seduced New Yorker’s palates).
