Everything at Lotta's was *fine* but not sublime (whereas I consider some of Delessio's offerings sublime). Since I live in the neighborhood, I'll try and suss out if there are any gems there, but so far haven't found them. Earl the owner is also a very sweet guy (so to speak). He's doing platters of six dozen mixed cookies for an event for me, so I'll report back. I asked him if it was the only ginger thing that he had that day and he said yes. The ginger cookies are *ok*. I am picky about ginger, and prefer it to be more spicy. It was on the dry side for my preference. Also had a macaroon. It was an earnest macaroon - good flavor, rather large. I will probably have it again, though my preference is Golden Gate Bakery's. Both had a complex enough flavor -- you can tell that they are thinking about the flavor of each item.
