Whole Cardamom Pods?
Does anyone know where I can buy whole cardamom pods in the Boerum Hill area? Sahadi's? I tried to stop by last night but I forgot they closed 7pm. Thanks.

I would most certainly expect that you can find them either at Sahadi's or across the street. I got some years ago at a shop that is no longer there a couple of storefronts down from Sahadi--maybe where Cook's Companion is?--but that's neither here nor there except to say that it was and probably still is something a mid-east bulk spice seller would carry.

You should be able to find them in most if not all Arab or Indian corner stores. I haven't been to many of the stores along Atlantic near Sahadi's lately but I'm sure you can find one that carries them.

If Sahadi's or Oriental Grocery (across the street from Sahadi's) doesn't have them, walk a half block to Two For The Pot (Clinton, just north of Atlantic). They'll have them.

I know for sure Sahadi's has them, and in bulk. I get them there for my cardamom creme brulee...mmm.....

Thanks everyone! Now if I could just manage to get myself over there when they're open...
