Santa Barbara: Fun Like the Palace but not the Palace

Suebee Aug 8, 2007 10:19 PM

We love the Palace but I think what we love more is the idea of the Palace. So where can we go in Santa Barbara for a fun but delicious dinner? Hungry Cat? Any others?

Does fun mean noisy? Lots of people? Lots of drinking? Lots of bar interaction? Interactive wait staff? Enterprise Fish Company on State Street might work. Just don't go there for the dining, but you will get food. Hungry Cat is small, but noisy and only a small bar area.

Not quite sure what you are looking for. But you might do some searches on Chads. Seville bar area. Alcazar for tapas. to see if these hit the mark.

Chad's great! Do they still do the "Flip for your dinner" Tuesdays? You've got a 50/50 chance of getting your great meal for free. Worth a shot. :)

I might also suggest Chef Karim's. Great Moroccan food and very fun atmosphere.

Yeah, and it's a lot better than running a "buy one entree, get the second one free" coupon in the local rag. Same effect though, if you think about it.
