Where can I get Hot Sauce in St. Louis?

Does anybody know of any market or stores with a wide range of hot sauces in the St. Louis area? I've ordered some on the net before but wondered if anybody had any suggestions for a local place.

  1. Jay International on South Grand, across the street from Pho Grand, has a wonderful selection of hot sauces and salsas. There is one aisle across from the fresh produce section devoted to a terrific selection of sauces from all over the world. I find something new each time I'm there. Many other sauces can be found in other sections of the store.
    We love exploring Jay International.

Also try La Tropicana. Another great selection of Mexican and Caribbean hot sauces. It's at 5001 Lindenwood, not that far from the Hill.

Agree on the Jay's recommendation. Their Mexican selection is not as extensive as their Asian selection.

Depending upon where you are in the area, Jay has a sister store in Kirkwood (just above downtown Kirkwood) called Global Foods Market. I think Global's selection might even be a little bigger than Jay's.

The World Market chain also carries a pretty significant selection of hot sauce.

    2. I think there is a place in Union Station that carries a lot of the commercial "super hot" sauces.

      1. I don't recall the name, but I was in a store on main street in St. Charles a few years ago that had a few hundered sauces in the back room of the store. I was surprised (but happy) to see it, because it seemed sort of out of place.
