Sunday Dinner around Bway & W. 45th

rmcase13 Aug 8, 2007 11:42 AM

I'm going to see Avenue Q on Sunday @ 2 and was trying to think of a good place to go for dinner after. I thought of Virgil's BBQ, but I'm trying to think of a place with tapas or something that's not American or a chain. Any suggestions?

John's PIzzeria...there are a couple in Manhattan, but pretty great pizza and atmosphere.

There is a very nice tapas bar on 46th between 6th and 7th called Tintol.

Aww, I love Ave. Q! Are you set on Tintol? I haven't been, so I can't offer you a comparison, but other options I like in the area are Sukhadia's on 45th, btwn 5th / 6th (Goan and south Indian vegetarian, really inexpensive) and Meson Sevilla (trad'l Spanish tapas) at 46th between 8th/9th. Sevilla is a bit pricey. Kashkaval at 9th and 55th is a cute, low key, inexpensive place for pan-cultural tapas and wine. (There're Eastern European offerings alongside Mediterranean.)

Riposo46 (46th and 9th), really cute and great flatbreads.
