Keeping produce fresh--do the bags/balls work?

I've now got TONS of yummy CSA veggies, and sometimes it's hard to use them all as quickly as they come. Has anyone had success (or failure) with the bags or the balls that claim to keep produce fresher longer?

TIA!

I have the same problem - that huge bag of CSA produce all at once is hard to deal with some weeks! I use something called evert fresh bags that I got from www.Gaiam.com. They really work well for me. I keep produce fresh twice as long as I used to.

Here's a link directly to the product - don't know why the original link didn't work. You may have to Google for Gaiam.

I have their Extra Life Discs and honestly I can't say that they help retain the freshness of vegetables longer. I find they're better with leafy VGs but broccoli and string beans seem to wilt faster. :(

I haven't tried those. I did try those spongy pads you put in the bottom the the crisper drawers. They were awful. I didn't notice any improvement with the produce and the pads got wet and moldy. A complete waste.

Thanks for pointing out this product!

Btw, your original link didn't work because you have a period at the end of the link.
