September 2007 Cookbook of the Month: Cast Your Votes Here
A quick fyi: I, as well as many other participants, would love to further explore Wolfert’s The Cooking of Southwest France and all of Wells’s bistro and Provencal cookbooks. But an overwhelming number of people have proposed a Julia Child cookbook, for a number of reasons November seems to be the best month in which to do that, and both Wolfert and Wells overlap Julia to a considerable degree.
With that in mind, please vote for one of the following for September Cookbook of the Month
Vegetable Harvest by Patricia Wells
The Foods & Wines of Spain by Penelope Casas
Couscous and Other Good Food from Morocco by Paula Wolfert
by posting your vote to this thread. Voting will be open until Tuesday, August 14th and I'll post the September Cookbook of the Month on Wednesday, August 15th.

I'll vote for the Spanish cookbook and hope that it's in my library or that there are recipes on line.
I also suggest that Paula Wolfert's World of Food is her most varied book (for a future month). Cooking of Southwest France is wonderful, but World has recipes from Spain, France, Italy, Sicily, Corfu, Greece, Mallorca, Minorca, Corsica, Morocco (Chcken with Eggplant Tomato Jam) and lots of other unusual recipes. Look it over you guys and give it a try. It's amazing. I've had it for years and it's falling apart. There's probably a blurb about it on her website.

Oooh, for once I have at least two of the books mentioned, and after looking through them, I vote for Penelope Casas. I am in the mood for Spanish food.
