I haven't been to Norma's but I can vouch for Clinton St. being a delight, with some really wonderful breakfast food... I remember my eggs being so fluffy.

Actually I just had Norma's today. Good food, but looks better than it tastes, and very expensive for breakfast, in my opinion (I paid $33 not including tip for huevos rancheros ($19), orange juice ($7), and coffee ($5)).
Clinton St. definitely wins the contest.

Yeah I just wish Clinton wasn't such a pain to get to by train from the ferry.

Have not been to Clinton's but we never miss Norma's when we are in NY...We have only tried their sweet things, like pancakes and french toast, but we love it...Very sweet, big breakfasts, and we love the atmosphere...Not cheap...

If you want an experience, head to Norma's. The atmosphere is pretty swank. Clinton Street is more cramped and the lines are ridiculous, but the food's pretty solid.
I'd go with Norma's.

I haven't been to Norma's, but I'd highly recommend Clinton St. Baking Co.

the food is better at clinton street but the wait is annoying. haven't been to norma's in ages, the food is ok, everything was huge and overly sweet, fun but expensive.

went to norma's two years ago for a birthday brunch and really thought the portions were enormous and the food was nothing to write home about. on the other hand, if you can stand the wait at clinton st., it's really quality food for any time of day. if you have a chance, try their apple crumble...it's mouth-watering.

Been to both, very different type of places. But, Clinton Street Baking Co wins hands down.

Clinton Street! Best pancakes in the city. So cute but LONG wait. Normas is solid but more expensive and more sceney. I like both, but Clinton is better, I promise.

Thanks to everyone for your input. Seems like both are great places so I will let you know where I go. Probably depends on where I am in the city at that point.
