Is there anywhere in Philly to get good Spanish groceries for a reasonable price? I am spending so much at latienda.com that it might be more cost effective to fly to spain! Where can I find things like good coffee beans, tuna in olive oil, mojama, etc? Cheaper online sources are welcome as well.

Thanks!

Great question - I'm interested in the answer too because we order from La Tienda all the time! Also, along this line, does anyone know where you can fine the Puente (I'm sure I spelled it wrong) hand painted pottery that they sell at La Tienda? It is so beautiful, I'm slowly trying to accumulate the whole set. But, like maraki said, the shipping charges can get out of hand!

There's a market called Quince on 2nd and Girard that I've heard carries some Spanish products. Their website also reiterates this fact. However, I'm not sure how complete the selection is as I've yet to visit....I miss real jamon serrano!

I don't know anything about Spanish groceries, but the last time I was at diBruno's I picked up some chorico (dry Spanish type, not crumbly Mexican type) and jamon serrano. I really liked the buttery, rich flavor of the jamon, though I don't know what makes good quality jamon. This was the diBruno's in Rittenhouse, 17th and Chestnut. You'd think they would have mostly Italian foods, but they have a wide variety of meats and cheese from different countries.

Cousin's Supermarkets, they have one on 5th. Street and Luzerne (near Tierra Colombiana) and another on 5th. and Berks. They had a third one on Mascher and Duncannon but sold it and is now called 7 Brothers Supermarket, also has all kinds of spanish products. The fourth one used to be Supremo at 4424 N Broad St. (changed name an is now a Shop n Go, but still has all kinds of spanish products)
