What is the most authentic best Israeli restaurant in Manhattan?

Any ideas which Israeli restaurant is the best? I did try Taim last year when I was in NYC but it seemed uncomfortable for sitting. Where should we go? Either vegetarian or kosher if meat.
Pick-a-pita? Maoz? Hoomoos Asli? Olympic?
We want tasty pickles, amba, zhug etc.

        we'll try Olympic.

        1. Olympic fits the bill - similar, quite, somewhat upscale - try Galil 84th & Lexington Ave

I just had lunch at Olympic in Union Sq and was just a notch above disappointed. The shawarma was underseasoned and the french fries were nearly inedible. Also, the guy behind the counter called the tahina "white sauce," which made me alternate between laughter and nausea.

Haven't been in a few years, but Azuri on 51st (i think) btwn 9th and 10th was my favorite israeli (shwarma/falafel/soups...) place in manhattan.

          2. If you want to travel to Teanack NJ there is a great Steak House Called MABAT. It is a small place BUT THE FOOD IS SOOOO GOOD it is worth the trip. I am very critcal about restaurant food as I like good food. This place is one of the best places I have eaten in. I found it by chance 2 years ago. The quality and service is very good. You will leave very happy and full.
