Albertsons changing (back) to Lucky
So all the Bay Area Albertson's stores are in the middle of being converted back to the Lucky name, with certain "improvements" being promised as well.
Anyone here have a converted Lucky in their neighborhood? Any reports on whether the stores have improved?

The Lucky here doesn't seem much different yet, save for the new Lucky logo seats on ratty carts and some slowly deflating red and white balloons in the store. Have only done one short shop there so far, but prices did seem a smidge lower on some things I bought. Improvements? I'm waiting to see those, I guess all they've had time for here so far is slapping the Lucky name on things.
Albertson's got bought by Save Mart. Hopefully they will better manage their stores. Ours smelled like old sweat socks from the time it was Lucky, through the change to Albertson's, up until the last few months when they must've spiffed things up to make the sale.

re: Merrin
There is one Albertson's in new Braufels ,Texas by me ,just up the road about 12miles or so.
Don't know their status here in Texas and their weekly grocery ad says Albertsons.
Some of the prices on certain things aren't too bad.
We don't have Lucky's here. In Floresville the have a Super S Foods.
And on the other side of San Antonio there are a couple of Sav-a-Lots.

I went to one the other week. No huge changes from what I can tell..although after a quick look it did seem things were slightly less expensive...or they have sale markers all over the place. Here's a related thread...not much more info.
