They are noodles sold as "cake noodle" that you can cook in a pan to get crispy and often they are cooked so they resemble a little circular cake. I make them all the time at home.

I am looking for a restaurant-i will be on vacation and want to find whoever makes the best cake noodle dish on oahu!!! help-i used to loved the way they did it at King's Garden years ago

    2. In February I had a great plate of harm ha chicken with ong choy on cake noodles at The Golden Wheel in Aiea.

      1. If you are staying in Waikiki, there is a little hole in the wall called Fatty's Chinese Kitchen. It's in a walkway that goes to the International Market Place off of Kuhio Avenue. They have a tiny counter with maybe 8 seats and you may have to wait awhile to sit down (but I recommend that if your going to order Cake Noodles), but it is worth it. Their beef choi sum with cake noodles is fantastic. It's also great with look fun noodles. I normally don't eat fried rice in a chinese restaurant, but I will eat it there with relish. Be aware that when you order fried rice there, you will get a plate of fried rice and nothing else. I usually order a side order of ginger chicken or roast duck. YUM.

Thanks so much!!! I know exactly where you mean! Great idea and convenient for the UES Mayor!

        2. According to some friends of mine the best cake noodle in Honolulu is at the mauka side of chinatown at Lee Ho Fook. She said you can order extra crispy. I haven't had a chance to go check it out, but there was no hesitatation when I asked her and she got that funny look people get when they think of one of their favortie places.
