According to some friends of mine the best cake noodle in Honolulu is at the mauka side of chinatown at Lee Ho Fook. She said you can order extra crispy. I haven't had a chance to go check it out, but there was no hesitatation when I asked her and she got that funny look people get when they think of one of their favortie places.

If you are staying in Waikiki, there is a little hole in the wall called Fatty's Chinese Kitchen. It's in a walkway that goes to the International Market Place off of Kuhio Avenue. They have a tiny counter with maybe 8 seats and you may have to wait awhile to sit down (but I recommend that if your going to order Cake Noodles), but it is worth it. Their beef choi sum with cake noodles is fantastic. It's also great with look fun noodles. I normally don't eat fried rice in a chinese restaurant, but I will eat it there with relish. Be aware that when you order fried rice there, you will get a plate of fried rice and nothing else. I usually order a side order of ginger chicken or roast duck. YUM.
