Never been to Chicago! Good Eats?

Not sure about flying into Midway or O'Hare but will be in Chicago Oct. 4-7th.
Want to see the sights and eat at historical places with good food. We are not into Asisan food but enjoy Italian and good American cuisine. Thanks so much as I plan this adventure!
