post-spa lunch in midtown

Hi all, hopefully you can give me some recommendations. My friend and I are going for a half-day spa session in midtown in a few weeks on a Saturday for some pre-wedding pampering. We'll be done around 12-1 so we want to find a nice relaxing lunch spot in midtown (the place is on 48th and Madison) with light but tasty food. Not heavy on the carbs or oil and reasonably priced (under 100 per person). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would tell you to go to Takashimaya Department store and go on the first level to the Tea Box.. Its a beautiful Japanese Department store and the Tea Box could be fun..

I was going to suggest that too. I LOVE that place, you leave feeling relaxed, and the food is shockingly inexpensive, and very tasty. I like the smoked salmon on pressed rice with seaweed salad. The bento boxes are always beautiful. Best table rolls ever, and the individual tea pots are delightful.

Barbetta on 46th near 8th. And ask to be seated in their beautiful garden.

The food at Barbetta is okay. The garden is lovely.

I wanted to post the same question? Is it Madison-Spa you going to? I will be there on Sunday in 2 weeks and looking for the lunch/brunch place also.
