I ended up wandering through Bensonhurst today and ate at Nyonya on 86th Street. I believe it is one restaurant in a mini-chain. The Manhattan Nyonya and the one in Sunset Park have been mentioned here before. I just wanted a quick nosh so I had some tasty noodle dish with shriimp, pork, chicken, and egg on top. I want to go back for dinner. Any recommendations? PS: 86th is such an interesting place these days. Here is a link to article about how it has changed: http://nycitywatch.org/mu/nycitywatchbrooklyn/2007/05/15/restaurant-boom-on-86th-street-in-bensonhurst/

I've never been to the one on 86th, but the one in Sunset Park is one of my favorites. It and the Manhattan branch have a pretty similar menu, so maybe the Bensonhurst branch is also similar. If so, I highly recommend the roti canai, the mee siam (a fried noodle dish), the prawn mee, and the achat (a sort of pickled vegetable dish with peanuts, very delicious). I haven't been very happy with their fish or crabs, though.

Their roti canai is amazing--I could easily eat two whole orders of it by myself. Indian Mee Goreng is one of our favorite dishes there--it's noodles made with dried squid and egg and other stuff. Their desserts of coconut pudding and a shaved ice thing (can't remember what it's called) are great too.
