Sesame Ice Cream at Sundaes and Cones

My wife and I visited Sundaes and Cones at 95 E 10th St yesterday. I had the Sesame Ice Cream which was absolutely mind blowing. We were told by the staff that all ice creams are made on site. Great place. I'll be back...

Chinatown Ice Cream Factory has a great flavor right now called Zen Butter. It is sesame seeds with peanuts in vanilla ice cream-- delicious!

On my one visit, I enjoyed their corn flavored ice cream.

I think that this place is definitely worth a visit. It's nice to have in the neighborhood when I don't feel like venturing to Cones, Il Labrotorio, Chinatown Ice Cream factory...

Sesame and taro have to be my favorite combination ever. I just wish they'd discover other Asian flavors like purple yam, avocado or queso. You haven't lived until you've had fresh purple yam and avocado ice creams.

Does queso mean something other than cheese in Spanish? If yes, what?! If no, it's Asian?

Queso is cheese. Specifically edam, I believe. It's a flavor popular in the Philippines and with the intoxicating creaminess of the cheese with a hint of salt and sweet, it's popular with me as well! Especially next to a scoop of avocado.

I've become hooked on this flavor recently. I'll have to try it at Chinatown Ice Cream Factory, but I think the version at Sundaes and Cones is fantastic.
