La Cazuela Restaurant
I took my Fiance to La Cazuela (an Ecuadorian restaurant) because I've seen such glowing reviews here from so many folks. La Cazuela did not disappoint us. We had appetizers - a shish kebob with onions, peppers, sausage and beef that was grilled and had a sauce that was just fantastic. We also had empanadas as an appetizer - they were good too. My Fiance had the beef, eggs, avocado, rice, tomato and french fries as her entree - it was excellent. I had a dish which was sort of like a stew (I thought the Waiter called it a casserole?) that had mussels, clams, calamari with lime that I put over white rice. It was quite good as well. The check came to only $44 which was money well spent. We will definitely go back again.
Glad you enjoyed it. I think it's one of the real chowhound finds in Baltimore. Your girlfriend had Churrasco— Beef, eggs, avocado, rice, tomatoes and French fries. I'm not sure what your dish is called; don't see it on the menu, but I've had it before and I agree it's delicious.
BTW, here's the menu. http://www.gabirecords.com/lacazuelam...
