Antoinetta's in Cedar Run

BCjr Aug 4, 2007 10:34 AM

Has anyone one been to Antoinetta's in Cedar Run, which isn't far from LBI. It sounds like a great location ( on the bay), but I haven't heard about the food or value.

there was a thread on here a few weeks ago about Antoinettas. They said it was excellent, and I heard from another LBI person it was great. I would take a trip over. You need reservations, fyi.

Antoinetta's is fabulous...we had dinner there about a month ago and will be going back very soon. Not only is the location wonderful (bay views from every table) but the food and service are first-rate. Dinner for two was approx. $89. BYO. Reservations are a must. Here's a link to their website: http://www.antoinettas.com and a link to my prevous thread: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/407553

Martini - Antoinetta's sounds wonderful. I've already let many of my office mates know about your recommendation. BTW, do you know how long it takes to get there from Toms River?

I would say at least 45 min or longer, this time of year. You'll be going from exit 80 to exit 63, taking 72 East to 9 South. I guess if you caught it just right, and no traffic, it could be less.

Mschow is right...45 minutes is a fair estimate. It's worth the ride, believe me. Just don't count on hanging out on the deck if there's a west wind...greenheads galore! If you go, try the salmon in cabernet reduction (the chef's signature dish)...fabulous. :)

Martinit - I would love to go but truth be told its quite a haul for me. While I work in TR, I live in Monmouth County. So adding 30 mins from my home to TR and then another 45 mins is just too much for the DW. Sadly, I probalby will be unable to go unless I can convince my coworkers to do a business dinner/party there. As far as the salmon is concerned, while I trust your opinion, Salmon is the last thing I would order on a menu as I hate the oily taste. Thanks for your advice.
